Age control is the science to age gracefully and healthy

We The book titled "Age Control!" is authored by Arnaud van der Veere. The primary objective of this book is to inform professionals about the aging process and provide insights into how individuals can influence their lifespan by making informed choices. Arnaud van der Veere emphasizes that aging begins at birth and continues until death, a process that is complex and influenced by various factors including biology, environment, and lifestyle.

The book delves into understanding the mechanisms behind aging and offers ways to potentially extend the healthy portion of a person's life. The goal is not to pursue eternal life, which is a myth, but rather to help individuals lead healthier, longer lives. This is particularly significant given the increased human lifespan in recent decades, where people live 20-30 years longer compared to a century ago. However, these additional years often come with health issues, and the book aims to reduce the period of suffering typically experienced in the later stages of life.

The book provides insights into different factors that influence aging, covering various topics such as nutrition, sleep, hormones, environmental effects, physical condition, and more. Van der Veere advocates for a holistic approach, recognizing that aging is influenced by a combination of biological, chemical, and psychological factors, and there is no single solution to address it.
Some of the key sections and topics discussed in the book include:
1. Food and Nutrition: The importance of a balanced diet in supporting healthy aging and understanding how different nutrients impact the body over time.
2. Hormones and Enzymes: How these biological chemicals change with age and their influence on the body’s overall health.
3. Sleep: The critical role sleep plays in maintaining health and its impact on aging.
4. Physical and Mental Strength: How to maintain and improve both physical and mental capabilities as one grows older.
5. Environmental Factors: The influence of surroundings on the aging process.
6. Sexual Health: Exploring changes in sexual performance and reproduction as part of the aging process.
7. Global Aging Differences: How aging varies across different populations and cultures around the world.

The book emphasizes the importance of prevention and early intervention, offering tools and strategies for people over the age of 35 to improve their health and reduce the burden of disease. Arnaud van der Veere calls for scientific developments to be viewed in the right perspective, acknowledging that while science provides many answers, it is an evolving field with room for interpretation and continuous research.

Through a combination of scientific research, practical advice, and an exploration of different aging theories, the book seeks to offer a comprehensive guide to understanding and controlling the aging process. It encourages readers to actively participate in their own health management by recording their experiences, participating in research, and continuously learning.
all want to get as old as possible. Most people reach an old age with many years of health problems. Currently people of 80+ suffer already 20+ years with health problems.

This implies that in general most people have a healthy lifespan of 50-60 years only. The rest of their live is filled with health problems, sorrow, pain, and suffering.

My research is how to reduce the number of unhealthy years and increase the time we live physical and mentally healthier.

The first goal was to investigate the result of lifestyle on the long-term health. Second - the influence of the environment on the short and long term, third - the way we get, buy, process, and live with food and fourth – influence of activity.

Lifestyle is not only the way we live but also the complete interaction of growing up, the environment we are in and the education we get. We should consider lifestyle multi-dimensional. The way we live is rooted in the first few years of growing up. Our food processing depends on our first four years of physical training in every way. Our mental training consists of the interaction with the caretakers, family members and the small amounts of playmates we have during that time.

Our environment is of big influence on the physical and mental side of our development. When we rise in a poverty-stricken place with malnutrition, short of hygiene and poor housing conditions the chances of growing up healthy are limited. But on the other hand, the people who survive these places often have a long life with lesser health problems due to a stronger immune system. This is still called the survival of the fittest.

Growing up in wealth with everything available on demand may not be healthy at all. Kids that grow up with everything in reach of their wishes often suffer of health problems later on. Being unlimited and always get what you want creates mental and physical weakness which downgrade the immune system. With other words, wealth makes weaker and vulnerable for health defects.

From all research we can conclude that the only way to grow up in a healthy longevity way is to be surrounded with people of different kind from birth to death, living in an environment that is clean in air and resources, eating food of clean nature, experience the ups and downs of real life while supported by friends and family, have good self-discipline and be active every day. This, in short, is the key to a long healthy life.

In my research I explain more of the principles of aging and healthy life.
